As 20 something living in Australia, I wonder how common was such lifestyle in the back US in the 50s.
Was it only an idealisation? Limited only to the rich? Or was everyone experiencing such luxury e.g big house with big backyard and pool as something common?
Has the food spoiled in the hot sun?
