I agree with the sentiment, but the statistics are misleading. Life expectancy varies for people of different ages because it is calculated as the number of years a person is expected to live given they have already reached a certain age. If you reach age 67, your remaining life expectancy is 16.5 years for males and 18.9 years for females. Still a good reason not defer goals until retirement.

I don’t know, 3-18 was legit. 28-34 (present) is amazing. I started a company and work for myself. I’m finally profitable. Have employees I adore. I work from home and have a farm. Went through a ton to get here. It wasn’t easy. But, self employment is what’s up. Monetize your passion people. You don’t have to live by this structure. You’re the author of your dreams….but it’s hard.

Btw, my startup was like zero. Before anyone wants to think I was some super responsible 20 something. I wasn’t. I was a mess. I just got creative in my solutions. And no, I’m not a drug dealer lol

Haha. It used to be that you worked until you died. Such a fucked up world. Of course we ‘should’ enjoy life. But most just shuffle through, complaining about Mondays as though it’s ever been cute to do so.

My father commented to me a couple years ago that my grandpa, his father, was retired for more than half of his life. Lived simply, comfortably, but simply, and was retired for over half of his life…. That is the dream. My father on the other hand is still working and to close to 70….

Though this is a good point, this does not seem to be a life hack. More like advice.
